In this project, we determined the biotechnological potential of actinobacteria associated with the ant Atta mexicana, based on their functional capabilities, to assess their viability as plant growth promoters and their antimicrobial capacity against phytopathogenic fungi and bacteria. This project is relevant because, in recent years, insects have been discovered to represent a promising and underexplored source of microbial resources with biotechnological potential applicable to various fields, such as agriculture, pharmaceuticals, and industry.
