Interview: name of woodland visited, companions, way of transport, place of departure, time period of stay, frequency of visits, activities, motives to visit other woodland self administered questionnaire: frequency of visits to nature reserves, visits to alternative wood near visited wood, most visited other wood, favourite season for visits, making use of facilities, activities, suitability of particular woods for specific activities, qualities of ideal woodland, possibilities for alternative open air recreation: possession of garden, summer cottage, boat etc.. Background variables: basic characteristics/ residence/ housing situation/ household characteristics/ occupation/employment/ education/ consumption of durables/ organizational membership
