Marine Optics data (LISST - Deep) during Maria S. Merian cruise MSM72, PSD slope

DOI

During MSM72 cruise on March 2018 LISST - Deep data collected in 61 stations at the whole Mediterranean Sea. After processing the raw data tree marine optics parameters: (a) Particles Volume Concentration (μl l-1); (b) Mean Size (μm) and (c) Particle Size Distribution slope. Also it is calculated the Inherent Optical Propertie : Beam Attenuation Coefficient (m-1). The purpose of this data collection was to estimate the number and the quality of the suspended matter at the Mediterranean Sea, in order to examine the relationship between the marine optics data and Particulate Organic Carbon and on the other hand between marine optics data and water masses characteristics. The LISST - Deep data processed by using in situ backrgound.
