Chronology, Planktonic Foraminifera Assemblages and Oxygen Isotope Data of core VM29045-PC from the western Equatorial Indian Ocean for the ~412 ka

DOI

Surface and subsurface hydrographic variability from the western equatorial Indian Ocean over ~412 ka are reconstructed using planktic foraminiferal assemblages and their oxygen isotopic records in sediment core VM29045-PC (6° 00' S, 69° 02' E; 2860 m water depth). The planktic foraminiferal analysis was done using a stereo-zoom binocular microscope. A minimum of 300 intact tests were selected for each sample using a stereo-zoom binocular microscope. The stable isotopic (δ18O) analysis of planktic foraminifera was measured using a continuous flow MAT 253 mass spectroscopy at the IRMS facility, Birbal Sahni Institute of Palaeosciences, Lucknow, India.
