Rare Earth Element concentrations of mixed planktic foraminifera at DSDP Site 72-516, Rio Grande Rise

DOI

This dataset includes the analysis of sediment core DSDP 516 (30°16'S, 35°17'W, 1313 m water depth) recovered from the Rio Grande Rise within the modern day core of Antarctic Intermediate Water (AAIW). It contains Rare Earth Element (REE) concentrations of mixed planktic foraminifera of DSDP 516. The dataset also includes measured reference materials BCS-CRM 393 (ECRM 752-1) and CAL-S: CRPG limestone. Measurements were made on an Agilent 7500ce ICP-MS.

REE composition of uncleaned foraminifera dissolved in 0.3 M HNO3. Concentrations in μg/g solid CaCO3.N means normalized to Post-Archean Australian Shale (PAAS) (Taylor and McLennan, 1985).
