Water levels and water quality measured by Australian Government agencies (1950–1999)

DOI

Lake George water levels for the period 1950–1957, digitised from hydrographs presented in Noakes (1962) and Jennings et al. (1964). Dates are indicative only because they are based on digitising the inflection points of a graphical plot, not tabulated data. Noakes (1962) noted that these measurements were collected from a gauge site established by H.C. Russell on the SW shore (approximately 35.184°S, 149.400°E).Lake George water levels for the period 1958–1999, sourced from the field logs kept in the Geoscience Australia archives. Subsets of these data were also reproduced in Burton (1972) and Burton and Wilson (1973). Measurements were collected at an approximately monthly frequency from three gauges located Rocky Point (35.093°S, 149.466°E), Kennys Point (35.050°S, 149.478°E) and Gearys Gap (35.080°S, 149.375°E).
