One of the objectives of the ZERO BRINE project is to demonstrate the principles of circular economy in the coal mining industry and in the textile industry. In order to do that, in the Work Package no. 3 (WP3), two cases were selected: the “Bolesław Śmiały” coal mine in Poland and the ZORLU Textile in Turkey. In both cases, first the laboratory studies were performed in order to select the most suitable treatment train and to design the pilot plant utilizing the chosen technologies; then, the pilot plant was run with the real waste water, in order to prove the principles of circular economy can be applied in both of the investigated industries. This dataset is a database of experimental and modelling data obtained during the WP3 activities. The results collected in the presented database are to be used in Work Packages 7 (the life cycle analysis), 8 (commercialization of ZERO BRINE technologies), and 10 (dissemination of ZERO BRINE results).
