prolonged hypoxia in a reef building coral-implications for survival under accelerating ocean deoxygenation

In order to understand the physiological and molecular mechanisms promoting tolerance of stony corals to acute vs prolonged hypoxia, as well as to compare diurnal effects, we used transcriptome analysis and physiological measurements of the reef building coral Stylophora pistillata subjected to two weeks of constant hypoxia.
