Whole genome resequencing of three sympatric fish species from a hydrogen sulfide-rich spring in Mexico

We performed whole genome resequencing on a total of 120 individuals of three species from a sulfidic and nonsulfidic habitat (3 sulfidic populations, 3 nonsulfidic populations, 20 individuals per population, 40 individuals total per species). Our goal was to look for regions of the genome that evolve in convergence among the three species following colonization of the sulfidic habitat and to characterize the history of speciation between each set of population pairs.
