The ROV-system sprint 103 was equipped with two video- and one still camera, lights, flash-lights, compass, and parallel lasers providing a scale in the images, a tether-management system (TMS), a winch, and the board units. All cameras used the same main lens and could be tilted. Videos were recorded in Betacam-format and (film-)slides were made by decision of the scientific pilot. Still photographs: Kodak Ektachrome 100; Scans: Nikon super coolscan 4000ED; JPEG compression. Video Codecs Used: MPEG-2 Video; File Format: MPEG-2 PS (mpeg-2 program stream); Frame Width: 720 pixels; Frame Height: 544 pixels; Frame Rate: 25.000 fps; Display Aspect Ratio: 4/3; Scan Type: Progressive; Colorimetry: 4:2:0; Quality Factor: 0.613 bits/pixel-frame; Video Stream BitRate: 5 719 Kbps; Video Stream BitRate (Nominal): 6 000 Kbps; Video Stream BitRate Mode: CBR. Use VLC media player for playing the videos (http://www.videolan.org/). Videos were uploaded for documentation reasons independently of partly low quality due to a ROV driving strategy responding to varying environmental conditions such as sunlight and turbidity. J.
