Electroceuticals is the attempt to
speak the electrical language of the nerves to achieve higher treatment effect. Thus, the search is on to develop devices to enhance personalised healthcare. Part of creating such devices is selecting materials that can interface between biology and computers to enable efficient conversion of ion signals in biological systems to electronic signals for computer read-out. Our research efforts have yielded a new transistor system in which the proton conductor Nafion is bonded to a nanowire. The transistor performance changed depending on the state of Nafion hydration. As a result, we wish to characteristic thin film Nafion's morphological response to water content to help understand our devices. Hence we request the use of Neutron reflectometry, since it is the ideal technique to investigate thin film morphological behaviour.
