The aim of this study was to transcribe and code a random one per cent sample of individuals recorded in the 1851 Norwich Census.

Variables Sex, age, occupation, birthplace, number of people recorded in individual's household with same surname, plus servants, whether individual is hospital resident or lodger. Please note: this study does not include information on named individuals and would therefore not be useful for personal family history research.
