Microbial communities in Antarctic and Greenlandic glacial ecosystems fed by glacial meltwater

Environmental sequences from the 16S rRNA gene (341F and 805R) determined with MiSeq Illumina technology. Data are demultiplexed, quality screened, and chimeras have been removed. From the Cotton Glacier supraglacial stream samples include: stream water, parafluvial sediments, snow, and ice ice. From the Canada glacier samples include: proglacial stream water, stream sediments, snow, ice, and cryoconite. Samples from Greenlandic habitats include cryolakes and cryoconite.
