16S microbiome analysis of Penaeus monodon GI tract in reponse to high and low fishmeal diets

This study examined the effects of high (HFM) or low (LFM) fishmeal diets on the microbial community of Penaeus monodon stomach (including food content), intestine (tissue with digesta content removed) and digesta (intestinal content). High throughput sequencing of the 16S rRNA gene was used to characterise the bacterial communities in each sample type.
