RNA-seq analysis of the embryonic intestine and yolk sac membrane of cloudy catshark (Scyliorhinus torazame)

Oviparous cartilaginous fish embryos are nourished solely by yolk during the development. To understand the nutrient absorption mechanism and accompanying genes involved in nutrient metabolism of oviparous cloudy catshark, we performed RNA-seq on the embryonic intestine and yolk sac membrane. The read data were assembled and used as a reference database for the subsequent quantitative PCR analyses.
