On the origin of obligate parthenogenesis in Daphnia pulex.

This study examines the genome-wide expression and differential splicing patterns of early subitaneous and early resting egg production in obligate parthenogenetic Daphnia pulex isolates to gain insight into the genes and mechanisms behind this transition from cyclical to obligate parthenogenesis.
