SANS Studies on Aggregate Structures of Peptide Amphiphiles

Peptide amphiphiles have special self-assembling behaviors and important aggregate properties, which make them have many potential applications both in vitro and in vivo. The aggregate structures of peptide amphiphiles strongly depend on the peptide sequence and alkyl chain character, and also are affected by some environmental factors (pH, temperature, salt concentration etc.). Our research will focus on the aggregate structures of a series of novel peptide amphiphiles or amino acid amphiphiles with different charges, as well as pay attention to the effect of environmental factors on the aggregate structures. Here, we request SANS beam time to obtain the essential structural characterization of the aggregates formed by peptide amphiphiles or amino acid amphiphiles, thus deeply understanding the self-assembly nature in such systems.
