MV2O6 brannerites have a network structure in which chains of edge-sharing MO6 octahedra result in 1-dimensional magnetic properties. A recent study reported monoclinic CoV2O6 to have an antiferromagnetic transition at TN ≈ 15 K. Two field induced transitions were found: to a 1/3 magnetisation plateau between 1.9 and 3.2 T, and to a metamagnetic transition to full saturation magnetisation above 4 T. The saturation moment of 4.5 μB at 5 K and 4 T evidences an unusually large orbital contribution. The three ordered magnetic phases have recently been observed using WISH data. μSR needed to study further both the static order and the spin dynamics of monoclinic CoV2O6 as a function of temperature and magnetic field strength in the three ordered phases. 3 days on HiFi are requested.
