Our recent inelastic neutron scattering (INS) study using MARI clearly reveals the presence of a sharp inelastic excitation near 8 meV and 11 meV in CeT2Al10 (T=Ru and Os) compounds, respectively below 29 K, due to opening of a spin gap in the spin excitation spectrum. The magnitude of the spin-gap estimated from the INS peak position agrees very well with the gap value as estimated from the bulk properties in both the compounds. Due to polycrystalline nature of the samples used on MARI we could not investigate the dispersion of the spin-excitations. Here we proposed to investigate the dispersion of the spin-gap excitations in single crystals of CeT2Al10 (T=Ru and Os) using MERLIN. The proposed study is important to answer the question whether the spin gap originates from the hybridization between 4f-and conduction electrons or it is an anisotropic gap in the spin waves spectrum.
