The Bi1-xNdxFe1-yCoyO3 (BNFC) compositions emerge as materials with very rich and not completely understood physical behavior. We have recently identified the existence of two dissimilar structural phases (R3c and Pnma) in this system, in a wide composition range. The physical responses (magnetic and magnetoelectric) showed to be intensified for particular samples. Our aim in this proposal is to understand how structural arrangements affect the magnetism of BNFC compositions and how their magnetic behavior evolves with different x and y.
