Vertebrate eDNA survey in nearshore marine environment

This study compared the presence/absence and relative abundance of marine fishes and mammals in different nearshore habitats using environmental DNA (eDNA) versus visual surveys (SCUBA). We determined the spatial resolution of eDNA as well as the false-negative rate compared to the dive surveys.
