This Mikrozensus special survey is concerned with the main holidays and short holidays. Similar to the special program from December 1996 (Mikrozensus MZ9604) this survey was conducted according to the EU-standards for the acquisition of statistical data in the field of tourism. These surveys have to be conducted annually. To keep the strain of fixed programs on the Mikrozensus to a minimum, the survey is from now on conducted only for one part of the sample, in addition to a main program.
