Vertical permeability testing was conducted on 10 whole-round core samples collected from Sites 1173 and 1174 from Ocean Drilling Program Leg 190. Constant-flow permeability tests were conducted to estimate permeability values for selected core samples from the upper and lower Shikoku Basin facies. The highest permeability measured was 6.43 x 10-17 m2 at a depth of 200 meters below seafloor (mbsf) at Site 1173 and the lowest permeability measured was 3.5 x 10-19 m2 at a depth of 795 mbsf at Site 1174.
