(Table 1) Primary production in the Arabian Sea in May-July 1966

DOI

A radiocarbon survey of primary production in the Arabian Sea was carried out during May to July 1966. Production ranged from 0.8 to 30 mg C/m3 per day at the surface, and from 0.1 to 3 g C/m2 per day in the photosynthetic layer. At most stations photosynthesis was found to be maximum at depths of 25-30 m, and its lower limit was at 75 m.
