Spiophanes tcherniai Genome sequencing

Most Antarctic marine invertebrates have narrow temperature tolerance ranges from -2 to +2 C. Given the predicted impact of Global warming on sea surface temperatures, we need to understand the gene structure and composition, gene regulation, and epigenetic modifications of polar organsims in response to rising sea water temperatures. The sequence data deposited here are the first pass at genome sequencing for the endemic Antarctic polychaete, Spiophanes tcherniai.
