Code and data to reproduce "Temporal dynamics and policy implications in an innovation arms race"

DOI

This repository contains the underlying data and code to reproduce the manuscript "Temporal dynamics and policy implications in an innovation arms race". The repository contains the following data sources: 1) anonymized observational data of bin protections used by residents in a suburb of Sydney Australia from 2023 and 2024, 2) observational data of bin-opening behavior by colour-marked sulphur crested cockatoos, 3) an experimental assay of cockatoos' knowledge states regarding bin opening and bin protection, 4) simulated data from a spatially explicit agent based model of an innovation arms race. We have provided R code to reproduce all tables and figures from the study, as well as Python code to run the agent based model. For more details, please see the readme.md file.
