Set of non-processed (L0) samples of astronomical data gathered by 5 different observatories located around the world:
the Isaac Newton Telescope (INT), the Jacobus Katpeyn Telescope (JKT), the Las Cumbres Observatory (LCO) -which groups the McDonald, Haleakala, Cerro Tololo and Siding Springs observatories-, the Joan Oró Telescope (TJO), and the William Herschel Telescope (WHT). A total of 225 image files, with a total size of 4.3GB are included in this dataset.

METHODOLOGICAL INFORMATION
1. Description of methods used for collection-generation of data:
Data obtained from observatory data archive website:
Roque de los Muchachos Observatory Isaac Newton Group of Telescopes data archive: http://casu.ast.cam.ac.uk/casuadc/ingarch/query
Telescopi Joan Óro data archive: http://sdc.cab.inta-csic.es/joro/jsp/searchform.jsp
Las Cumbes Observatori data archive: https://lco.global/documentation/data/archive/
-
Methods for processing the data:
Data was converted from FITS format to raw using python library astropy.
-
Instrument- or software- specific information needed to interpret the data:
imagej or fiji
-
Instruments, calibration and standards information:
Telescope diameters:
Isaac Newton Telescope 2.5 m
Jacobus Katpeyn Telescope 1 m
William Herschel Telescope 4.2 m,
McDonald, Haleakala, South Africa, Cerro Tololo and Siding Springs observatories telescopes 0.4 m and 2 m
Joan Oro Telescope 0.8 m
-
Environmental or experimental conditions:
N/A
-
Quality-assurance procedures performed on the data:
Images pixel value differences are zero compared to original FITS.
Images are checked for good S/N ratio and no lens, atmospehric or CCD distortions.
