The series was formerly known as <i>Industrial Stoppages Data</i> and was the responsibility of the Employment Department. The title changed to <i>Labour Disputes in the UK</i> in 1992 and the Office for National Statistics took over responsibility when the Employment Department was abolished in 1995.
