The discrete biogeochemical measurements from RV Néréïs II were sampled for dissolved organic matter and phytoplankton pigments. The parameters include DOC/TDN/DON/TDP/DOP, dissolved hydrolyzable amino acids, and various phytoplankton pigments, including 19'-Butanoyloxyfucoxanthin and Peridinin. The samples were acquired within 5 and 500 m of the Mediterranean Sea at the Microbial Observatory Laboratory Arago 42°N and 4°E. The data was collected almost monthly from January 2019 to August 2021. The water collection occurred using a Nisking bottle and laboratory methods varied by parameter. DOC/TDN was analyzed using High-Temperature Catalytic Oxidation (TOC-VCSH), TDP/DOP was analyzed using a Technicon Auto Analyzer, dissolved hydrolyzable amino acids and phytoplankton pigments were analyzed using High Performal Liquid Chromatography (HPLC). The purpose of data collection was to understand the seasonal cycling of organic matter and heterotrophic bacteria dynamics within the microbial loop.
