Underdominant expression of meiosis and cell-cycle genes is likely involved in the hybrid origin of obligate parthenogenesis

Investigating the origin of parthenogenesis through interspecific hybridization to provide insight into how meiosis can be altered by genetic incompatibilities. In this study we use the microcrustacean Daphnia to investigate the origin of obligate parthenogenetic (OP) isolates through the comparison of the genome-wide expression between parental species and their OP offspring.
