Investigating proximity effect in tunneling geometry across STO insulator in LSMO/STO/YBCO heterostructures on Polycrystalline Substrate

DOI

Intense research activity is underway to understand the interaction between ferromagnetic (FM) and superconducting (SC) layers in oxide FM/SC multilayers, where FM and SC layers are in contact. Recently a number of studies have been reported in FM/SC multilayers on the proximity effect. specifically in oxide heterostructures. We have also studied tunneling effect in Superconductor/Insulator/Ferromagnet oxide system. All these systems studied by us and others were strongly textured. In the present proposal we want to make samples without texture and study proximity and tunneling effect. We will use Si substrate with native amorphous oxide layer as substrate and oxide SC and FM layers deposited on it.
