Transcriptome analysis for shark reproduction biology

Approximately 70% of cartilaginous fishes exhibit viviparity, and their modes of nutritional provisioning to their fetuses are highly variable. To understand how differences in reproductive mode affect gene repertoires and expression profiles, we performed differential transcriptome analyses on multiple tissues of three species of sharks.
