Salford Household Survey, 1965

Abstract copyright UK Data Service and data collection copyright owner.The survey is part of a project to study the effects of local authority housing policy on industrial location and job mobility. This part comprises a case study of Salford County Borough, Lancashire which illustrates the operation of other forces, such as market forces and migration as well as housing policies of local and central government, which are producing residentially segregated areas. Data were collected in two waves, in 1964 (SN:33) and in 1965 (SN:59).
