Multibeam bathymetry processed data (Kongsberg EM 122 entire dataset, MB-System data format) of RV METEOR during cruise M126

Multibeam bathymetry data using the ship's own Kongsberg EM 122 multibeam echosounder was almost continuously recorded during RV METEOR cruise M126. Data was recorded on 28 days between 2016-04-20 and 2016-05-20 in the North Atlantic Ocean. The data cover transit sections and a main survey at the Mid-Ocean ridge.This dataset contains the MB System (V. 5.5.2270) processed data files of the corresponding raw dataset (doi:10.1594/PANGAEA.957021). All raw data are converted to the MB System data format (.mb59). Most data files have been cleaned for navigational errors and manually cleaned from outlines (p.mb59 and *pp.mb59). Parts of these processed data files were used to generate the corresponding raster data working area dataset (doi:10.1594/PANGAEA.957029). Auxiliary files, created during MB System processing, are stored in the in the zip files and also part of this data publication.This publication is conducted within the efforts of the German Marine Research Alliance in the core area 'Data management and Digitalization' (Deutsche Allianz Meeresforschung, DAM).

These data should not be used for navigational purposes.The original bathymetry dataset (doi:10.1594/PANGAEA.868475) was archived in 2016 but not published until April 2023. This dataset has been archived again according to PANGAEA standards. Data publishing was realized by Daniel Damaske & Marianne Rehage, MARUM - Center for Marine Environmental Sciences (University Bremen).
