10 daily measurements of water isotopic composition of the surface 2.5 cm of snow from EastGRIP during summer of 2017-2019

DOI

Water isotopic composition measurements of the surface 2.5cm of snow, with 10 samples retrieved at 10 m increments over a 90m transect. d18O and dD were measured using both Picarro L-2140i and Picarro L-2120-I cavity ring-down isotopologue gas analyzers, while d-excess is calculated using the equation d-excess = dD - 8 * d18O. Samples were collected every ~24h between May and August of 2017 - 2019 at the EastGRIP site in the accumulation zone of the Greenland Ice Sheet. Physical properties, such as SSA and density, were measured in the field, and the samples were subsequently transported to the Alfred Wegener Institute for isotopic analysis.
