Gamebrics study

DOI

This data set contains the collected data from 84 participants, that studied two games (Kastanjehoeve and Junior Scientist) with either Gamebrics tooling (experimental group) or without Gamebrics tooling (control group). Main research questions of this experimental study were if the tooling has learning effects and is appreciated. The tooling provides formative assesssment information on the mastery of analytical subskills, and is automatically generated after we had integrated analytical rubrics into the gameplay scenario (mapped indicators to concrete activities). The variables of the data set refer to scores on learning growth, in-gam performance and various appreciation scores.
