Influence of macrophyte and gut microbiota on mercury contamination in fish

The aim of this study was to determine the bioavailability of methylmercury (MeHg) produced by plants roots in aquatic ecosystems. Bacterial diversity was assessed by Miseq approach and methylator bacteria were identified from the gut contents of the fish when they were in the presence of plants.
