ESO dataset - luminance channel - 3 different quantization levels

The original image was taken at the ESO Paranal Observatory in Chile by the Visible and Infrared Survey Telescope for Astronomy (VISTA), that is available at (https://www.eso.org/public/images/eso1242a/). It portraits more than 84 million stars in the central regions of the Milky Way. The RGB image is simplified to a singular luminance channel by weighing and summing the bands, so that L = 0.2126xR + 0.7152xG + 0.0722xB. Three different quantization levels are uploaded and stored with the Hierarchical Data Format 5 (HDF5) format.: 8-uint bpp, 16-uint bpp and 32-float bpp.
