Transcriptomics analysis provides insights into interferon-stimulated genes (ISGs) and proinflammatory cytokines for antiviral immunity in grass carp (Ctenopharyngodon idella)

In recent years, many researches of transcriptomes have been carried out in C. idella challenged with GCRV. Those studies have mainly focused on identifying immune-related genes and pathways involvement in immune response, mechanisms of GCRV infection, and differences in pathogenesis to different types of GCRV, etc. However, no special study was given to downstream antiviral effectors of the IFN response, especially the interferon-stimulated genes (ISGs). In our present study, we performed a global transcriptional profiling from four tissues (liver, spleen, head kidney and trunk kidney) analysis of GCRV-induced grass carp to explore the ISGs and proinflammatory cytokines.
