PacBio and Illumina transcriptome sequencing to refine proteome and core gene set of Fugacium kawagutii

taloging an accurate functional gene set for Symbiodiniaceae species is crucial for addressing biological questions of dinoflagellate symbiosis with corals and other invertebrates. To improve the gene models of Fugacium kawagutii, we deeply sequenced transcriptomes from nutrient replete and five trace metal limited conditions using Illumina and PacBio technologies. A total of ~25 Gbp clean data were obtained after quality filtering, revealing 24,892 genes previously not predicted.
