Quantum Computational Fluid Dynamics - WP Core Tensor Network QCFD Set: Deliverable 4.1 --- Two-Dimensional Point-Source Propagation

DOI

A subset of the WP Core Tensor Network QCFD Set: Deliverable 4.1., in relation to the European Union's Horizon Europe research and innovation program (HORIZON-CL4-2021-DIGITAL-EMERGING-02-10) under grant agreement No. 101080085 QCFD (https://doi.org/10.3030/101080085). The dataset covers the computation of a typical industrial example, the two-dimensional noise propagation. In this setting, the noise propagation of a point source, for example an aircraft turbine, is simulated and the noise level at a distance from the source is computed. First, studying the flow characteristics in quiescent air, followed by incorporating a base flow to simulate the relative velocity of a point source compared to the surrounding air. The simulations were conducted using quantum-inspired methods with non-reflective boundary conditions. Additionally, a classical benchmark is provided.
