As part of the KROP - Kongsfjorden Rijpfjorden Observatory Programme UiT The Arctic University of Norway and The Scottish Association for Marine Science maintain a marine observatory in the high-Arctic location Kongsfjorden, Svalbard, since 2002. The observatory consists of an array of CTDs, temperature loggers, ADCPs and a sediment trap, in addition to various other instruments or installations that change from year to year. This dataset contains the fluorescence data of Seapoint fluorescence sensor attached to the ESM1 logger that was located at 15m depth in the deployment year 2006-2007. In this setup we did not have an SBE16+ available for logging fluorescence, thus we used a setup with separate fluorescence sensors. Two identical sensor were deployed to compare their stability over time, as well as battery endurance (this sensor: 1 h intervalls, the replicate sensor: 6 h intervalls). This deployment is that last deployment on the northern side of Kongsfjorden, all the future deployments took place on the permanent southern location.
