Political inferences from apolitical cues: food-based political inferences in Italy (2023)

The research investigates political stereotypes around people's food preferences in Italy. It consists of three sections: - the first includes socio-demographic information on respondents and their tastes and cultural consumption habits; - the second part deals with political preferences, media exposure and attitudes towards political parties; - the third section refers to the results of the experimental treatment to which the respondents were subjected, who were shown different vignettes regarding the food choices of a third person, and then given questions about political perceptions in relation to food choices.
