We recently synthesised a new layered manganes oxide with a frustrated connectivity of Mn4+ ions. Variable temperature studies demonstrated a deviation from linearity at approximately 472 - 573 K. We initially believed this to be as a result of cation hoping arising as a due to vacancy sites on both the A- and B-sites. Unfortunately our initial assessment of the transition temperature proved to be an over-estimation with the transition being closer to 423 K. Unfortunately in our previous neutron experiment we used the furnace and started data collection at 373 K This means we have insufficient data below the transition to fully characterise the origins of this. More recently we have been able to collect electrical data which also shows anomolous behaviour at ~423 K. We therefore propose to revisit our experiments over a more appropriate temperature range.
