Geospatial datasets for the central South Arabian mountains (CSAM) in Al Mahrah (Yemen) and Dhofar (Oman) are assembled and made accessible to support research in the region. The datasets include a layer of spatial variability in fog density, vegetation indices, topographic variables, geomorphology metrics and vector layers of roads, places and waterpoints. The methods used to calculate and derive the layers are summarized and all data sources, software and tools are referenced accordingly in Ball (2019) Mapping a topography-fog-vegetation relationship in the central South Arabian mountains (in prep.). Data is shared according to the usage and distribution guidelines of the data providers. The collection will be expanded as new data sources and methods become available. This material is based upon work supported by the UK Economic and Social Research Council under award reference 1595870 and the US National Science Foundation under grant number 1617185.
