SOUTH FLORIDA SHARK TEETH HOST UNIQUELY DIVERSE MICROBIAL COMMUNITIES

Samples were collected to be 16s rRNA sequenced and examine microbial community composition found on the teeth of these species. The goal was to determine if microbiomes are specific compared to the ambient water, and can be utilized to improve shark bite treatment and reduce infections.
