Transcriptome Shotgun Assembly (TSA)

The <a href="http://aplysia.miami.edu/">National Resource for <i>Aplysia</i>, Rosenstiel School of Marine & Atmospheric Science, University of Miami</a> is generating the complete transcriptome of <i>Aplysia californica</i> using transcriptome shotgun assembly (TSA) computational methods. <p> <i>Aplysia californica</i> mRNA for sequence reads is derived from first generation (F1 hybrid) of laboratory cultured animals from wild stock collected from Southern California. <p> F1 cultured from wild stock (Southern California) by NCRR National Resource for Aplysia.
