Molecular and framework dynamics in CH3NH3PbCl3

We propose to use MARI to measure the molecular and framework dynamics in CH3NH3PbCl3 which has become of interest in the context of efficient photovoltaics. CH3NH3PbCl3 is different from other organic-inorganic materials as it lacks a structural phase transition to a tetragonal unit cell. The point of this experiment is compare the lattice dynamics to CH3NH3PbBr3 previously measured. We will also search for a soft mode at low temperature.
