The project was linked to an existing project on the use of anthropometric data to monitor changes in the health and well-being of past generations. The specific aims of this project were to use information about the heights of British school children to investigate changes in child health between 1908 and 1950. Data about unemployment levels in different areas were used to investigate the impact of unemployment on child health between 1928 and 1938.
