Abstract After Ivan convinces Alessia to take a business trip, he needs to face the fact that Rick and Tina’s relationship starts moving a little too fast. When he confronts Miriam about it, a flirty disagreement starts between the two of them. In the meantime, she manages to convince his family not to sell the firm and saves the packaging team. However, new problems with Katarina’s migration status are about to interfere with Rick and Tina’s relationship.

Details Ivan and Alessia confront Rick about what he knows and what he thinks about their separation, and he lets them know that he would not want to be the only reason why they are still together. They give credit for his maturity in handling the situation and the fact that he started working full-time. Even though Rick and Tina declare their love to each other, when she tries to kiss him, he pulls back and tells her that he does not want to be in a relationship because he does not want to suffer from heartache as he did in the past. So, she gets angry and sends him away. Ivan convinces Alessia to take a two-month business trip to San Diego and to let him take care of Rick. Miriam is in the middle of trying to convince her family to refuse the partnership with the French firm and offers an alternative idea: opening a restaurant and chocolate house to boost Abrate’s profits. They react reluctantly at first, but when she takes them to get to know the packaging team, they decide not to close the deal with the French firm and proceed with Miriam’s idea instead. At the karaoke night, while some flirting starts between Ivan and Miriam, the whole packaging team performs, even Tina, who at first had refused to sing with Rick. She starts singing listlessly with her back turned on Rick, but during the chorus, she turns around and kisses him in front of everybody. On the following day, Rick wins his fear and asks Tina to be his girlfriend, and she accepts. When he tells his father about it, Ivan understands that Tina has helped him to accept his syndrome and invites her over for dinner. It is not long until he starts worrying again; at dinner, Tina announces that they want to get married and have children soon. When Rick asks if she can stay overnight, Ivan gets uncomfortable and calls Alessia to know what to do, so she reassures him that Rick knows the basics of sex education and knows how to behave. However, the morning after, he asks Rick about it, and he answers that they have already had sex, but he knows nothing about contraceptives. When Ivan finds out that Rick and Tina are having sex at work during the lunch break, he brings it up to Miriam and asks to talk to Tina’s mother, Katarina, who does not seem as worried as he does. That night, he tries to teach him a lesson by making him cook and telling him about everything he needs to learn before he can be independent and go live with Tina. However, something shady is going on with Tina’s mother. Two men approach her outside the karaoke night and threaten her. They want her to return to Albania since her husband, with whom she is not in contact anymore, made their name to the police, and they are afraid that she would talk, too. She refuses, but they do not give up. On the following day, she comes home from work and finds out that someone has broken into her house to intimidate her. A couple of days later, they lure Tina and Rick to get in the car with them and turn their phones off. They only take them to a game room, and nothing happens to them, but by making them disappear for a whole day, they scare Katarina off. When interrogated at the police station, Katarina denies knowing the two men, and since she is an illegal immigrant, the police detain her and her daughter. Seeing the police car taking them away throws Rick into desperation.
